Tirupati: The beautiful landscaping developed by the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) in and around the Renigunta airport appears to be in trouble, as temperatures started rising quite early indicating a scorching summer ahead.
The impressive arrays of gardens, tree plantation along the roads and the landscaping on the medians along the airport road are known to be a sight to behold.
The colourful lighting and the musical fountain are new additions to the eye-catching facilities that have already brought fame to the airport vicinity.
The surge in temperature during the last fortnight has made the authorities initiate steps to prevent drying up of plants and grass. TUDA Vice-Chairman V. Vinaychand on Thursday led a team of officials to inspect the watering arrangements currently being followed at the airport.
