Two women who attempted to smuggle in gold at the RGI Airport were nabbed by customs officials on Wednesday night. They recovered gold bars weighing 2.3 kg from their possession.
The customs officials said the women came to Hyderabad from Jeddah on a Saudi Airlines flight (SV 754). The passengers were carrying gold bars concealed in their garments. The value of the seized gold could be Rs 70.98 lakh, customs officials said.
