Hyderabad: A high alert had been sounded at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad following reports about spread the of Zika virus in India.
Medical examination of the passengers arriving from various countries is being conducted at the airport. It may be recalled that the World Health Organisation (WHO) had confirmed that three persons from Bapunagar in Ahmedabad were affected with Zika virus.
Two of them are pregnant women. Meanwhile, Gujarat government had announced that the two pregnant women affected with Zika virus have given birth to healthy babies.
