Bhubaneswar: In ongoing effort to modernise the Biju Patnaik International airport, an air traffic control unit named as ‘Approach Control Unit’ has been set up at the airport in Odisha capital.
Inaugurating the Approach Control Unit yesterday, Bhubaneswar airport Director Suresh Chandra Hota said, “The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has always been laying emphasis on making the airport environment friendly. With the set up of the unit, more flights can be halted within a scheduled period. Other airlines are also expected to come forward to provide services at the Bhubaneswar airport.”
