Chennai: Four kg of gold biscuits valued at Rs 1.40 crore was today seized from a passenger who arrived here from Singapore, airport officials said.
Ibrahim Maraikayar a Chennai resident, was frisked by authorities on a tip-off when he arrived by a Singapore Airlines flight, they said.
Searches by officials led to detection of gold consignment concealed in a portion of his suitcase, they said, adding, he is being questioned.
