Itanagar: The Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation RN Choubey informed that operation of small fixed wing aircrafts of less than 9 seats will be included in the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) for Arunachal Pradesh and other North Eastern States.
During one to one interaction with the operators, the CEO of Zoom Air Koustav M Dhar expressed interest about possibility of starting 50 seater aircraft service to Tezu and Pasighat.
This was said at the WINGS 2017, an event to create a platform for the aviation industry, states and other stake holders to interact in order to take forward the central government’s initiative ‘Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrlk (UDAN) – Regional Connectivity Scheme’ organized on Friday at New Delhi by the ministry of civil aviation in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
In his inaugural address, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapati Raju told that Central Government has taken initiatives to connect the whole country under aviation network.
Representing the state, Secretary Civil Aviation Vinod P Kavle and Director Repo Ronya highlighted the poor aviation scenario of the only state in India which does not have scheduled flight operation.
