Surat: Surat airport figures at the 20th position in the January-June customer satisfaction survey by Airports Authority of India (AAI). The data recently published by the AAI listed Surat airport at the 20th position. Surat received 4.37 ratings in the survey.
At present, the airport has 11 direct daily flights to Hyderabad, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, Delhi and Mumbai and inter-state flight services to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Amreli by Ventura Airconnect on a daily basis.
Until a few months ago, Surat airport had only two flights to Delhi.
Vadodara is on the 16th position with 4.45 ratings on customer satisfaction index.
This year, Surat airport figured in the list of top 50 busiest airports of India by passenger traffic and aircraft movement in the year 2016-17.
The data published by the AAI listed Surat airport on the 50th position due to the phenomenal 105.3 per cent increase in passenger traffic at 1.94 lakh passengers in 2016-17 compared to 94,824 passengers in the previous year.
