New Delhi: Ahead of the Independence Day, the Delhi Police today put a ban on flying of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, microlight aircrafts, hot air balloons, small-size powered aircrafts and quadcopters in the national capital.
Certain criminals or terrorists, inimical to India, may pose a security threat by the use of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, or even by para- jumping from aircraft etc, Delhi Police said in a statement.
Delhi Police Commissioner has issued an order prohibiting flying of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, microlight aircrafts, hot air balloons, small size powered aircrafts, quadcopters etc. In the national capital, it stated.
