Bhopal: The State Capital on Tuesday witnessed two flights for Haj pilgrims leaving for Jeddah on the same day. The process would continue till August 13 providing two flights daily for around 3,600 Haj pilgrims of the state.
First flight with around 150 passengers took off Rajabhoj Airport at around 11.50 am on Tuesday while the second flight took off around 10.30 pm with 150 passengers.
Massive gathering of people who were relatives of Haj pilgrims were witnessed at Haj house situated at Singarcholi, in the outskirts of the city. The Haj pilgrims of first flight left at around 8.30 am in buses to board the flight.
Shahar Qazi Bhopal Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi offered prayers and shared importance of Haj and decorum to be maintained during Haj. Later, buses were flagged off for airport and on the occasion Chairman of Haj Committee Inayat Hussain Qureshi, Chairman of Waqf Board Shouqat Mohammad Khan and members of Haj Committee and several dignitaries were present.
