Ahmedabad: Passengers created a ruckus at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in the city on Sunday as SpiceJet flight SG 523 from Ahmedabad to Pune was delayed by nearly one-and-half hours.
The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 6.45pm, took off at 8.10pm on Sunday. Earlier, passengers remonstrated with the airline's staff after receiving a message announcing the delay.
SpiceJet confirmed the delay in an official communication. The spokesperson of Spicejet said: "The incoming flight from Mumbai was delayed due to ATC (Air Traffic Control) congestion at Mumbai, which was beyond the airline's control. This led to the Pune flight being delayed by over an hour."
