Man pastes his photo on relative's Aadhaar to board flight, lands in jail

A Mumbai man was arrested for attempting to board a flight by impersonating his relative. 42-year-old Sayyed Khan is said to have pasted his own photo to his relative's Aadhaar card to board 'to save money' since the ticket was nonrefundable.
Sayyed Khan was stopped by the Central Industrial Security Force during routine checks after they noticed discrepancies in the identity proof that he had produced. Khan had a ticket to board a Hyderabad-bound flight on Wednesday. He was caught by the security personnel at the Vile Parle (East) domestic airport and was handed over to the police.
Khan confessed that he had produced a fake ID proof. Khan told the police that his relative had booked a late flight to Hyderabad but could not make it in time for the flight. Khan then decided to go in his place since the ticket was nonrefundable and he did not want the money to go waste. Khan then took the air ticket, boarding pass that was raised online and his relative's Aadhaar card. Khan pasted his photo on his relative's on the Aahaar card and attempted to gain access to the airport.
