New Jaipur-Kota flight to start from Friday; to be connected with Delhi soon

Jaipur: Adding to the intra-state air connectivity, the state government is all set to start a direct flight to education hub of the state - Kota from Jaipur from Friday. The 9-seater aircraft will take off from Jaipur at 2.25 pm every day and will take 45 minutes to reach Kota. However, the inaugural run of the flight will take place from Kota in which dignitaries including chief minister, Vasundhara Raje the local MP Om Birla and others will participate. Officials are also planning to extended the Kota-Jaipur flight upto Delhi after getting clearances for it.
The intra-state flight to Kota is a part of MOU inked between the state government and private airlines under which direct flight from Jodhpur to Jaipur was started.
Authorities of the Supreme Airlines the operator, district police and in-charge Kota airport had a meeting and the flight also had its trial run on Thursday.
"The fare per person would be around Rs 2600 and it is going to take almost 45 minutes to reach Kota from Jaipur and from Jaipur to Kota. Bookings would be open on the website of the operator," said Lokesh Nirwan, in-charge, Airport Authority of India (AAI), Kota on Thursday.
He added that the flight to Kota is just a beginning and would be a boon especially for the parents whose children are studying in Kota for preparation of medical and engineering entrance exams.
Kota airport has a runway of nearly 4100 feets and after complying various things and other technical advancements can also accommodate bigger aircrafts in future.
