Patna: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released the winter schedule of flights for the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, which will come into effect from October 29. The winter schedule normally remains effective till mid-February.
AAI sources said at least 36 flights would operate in the winter against the existing 33 flights. The three additional flights include one each of GoAir on Bengaluru-Patna and Mumbai- Patna routes and one Indigo flight on Chennai-Patna-Varanasi route.
Flights are not allowed to land at the Patna airport before 10am due to foggy conditions usually from mid-November. Therefore, most airlines cancel their morning flights and add flights in the afternoon. Changes are also made in the timings of evening flights.
