Anger over five-hour delay in Pune-Delhi AirAsia flight

Pune: A delay of more than five hours and the alleged absence of the airline's ground staff made more than 110 passengers travelling on an AirAsia flight from Pune to Delhi on early Sunday angry.
Flight I5-736 scheduled to take off from Pune airport to Delhi at 1.06am took to the air at 6.06am after technical problems hit the flight, an airline official said.
The flight arrived in Delhi at 7.50am. Its scheduled time in Delhi was 3.10am.
AirAsia spokerperson said, "AirAsia India flight i5 736 from Pune International Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi which was to depart Pune at 01:05 hours on 22 Oct 2017 faced a delay owing to a technical fault identified in the aircraft. Prioritizing the safety and security of guests and crew on board, guests were deplaned post which the airline followed all standard procedures to release the aircraft for operations. During the delay, guests were provided with refreshments and attended to by the airline's ground staff. The flight departed Pune at 06.10 hours."
