GoAir cancels Srinagar flight, staff misbehaves with female passengers

Srinagar: GoAir flight traveling to Srinagar was cancelled on Sunday morning at Delhi airport and the airline staff misbehaved with the female passengers when they asked for the reasons.
The flight G8-128 was supposed to depart from the airport at 8:55am and reach Srinagar airport by 10:40am.
“They put us through hell. Our flight stands cancelled and just 15 minutes before takeoff they are saying us that it's been cancelled, they can't refund us and we have to get new tickets booked,” said Shayesta Nazir, a Srinagar-based law scholar.
The ladies passengers accused that the airline later on arranged seats for few male passengers and told the females that they could arrange the seats for them only on Monday morning.
“We replied who will pay for our lodging for the night and the airline staff got infuriated, saying go where from you came,” said Rubia Hassan, Bandipora-based lawyer.
“All passengers are infuriated but what is more important is how they misbehaved with girls who had no lodging whatsoever in Delhi,” said Shayesta.
Later on many of the passengers went back to hotels and others booked new tickets.
“I along with my family had come from Maharashtra and had made all plans accordingly but this is very sad when at last moment the airline stands cancelled. The new tickets cost us fortunes,” said a tourist, who didn’t wished to be named because he is supposed to travel back from Kashmir in GoAir.
The passengers demand that the airline must refund their money.
“What if it had happened with us in middle of a night or we had no option to buy a new ticket which cost us huge this time too,” said Rubia.
