Jet Airways today announced the launch of its daily non-stop service from Bengaluru to Amsterdam from October 29.
The A330 Airbus to Amsterdam is Jet Airways' first service to any European city from Bengaluru, the airline said.
The airline company already has two flights to Amsterdam from Mumbai and Delhi.
Announcing the launch, Chief Executive Officer of Jet Airways Vinay Dube said, "We are proud to introduce a new flight 9W236 from Bengaluru to Amsterdam. It departs here 2.30 in the morning and arrives at 8.45. It is going to be an Airbus A330 - A happy mix of both premier and economy seats." Explaining the intention behind the launch, Dube said there there was a demand from people of Bengaluru for direct connectivity to Europe.
In response to the growing need and demand, the company decided to start the service.
He said Jet Airways has tied up with many other airline companies to connect its consumers with the rest of India and rest of the world Europe.
Alphonsus H M Stoelinga, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, said the growing Indian economy warranted increasing its business relationship with India.
