L&B to povide sustainability master plans for Indian airpots

Landrum and Brown (L&B) is to prepare the sustainability master plans for India's Kolkata and Lucknow international airports.

The global aviation planning and design consultancy was awarded the contract by the Airport Authority of India as a result of AAI being issued with a grant by the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

“We are pleased to support this important project that will support India’s rapid aviation growth, while connecting US businesses with new export opportunities,” said  USTDA’s acting director, Thomas Hardy.
The sustainability master plans will provide AAI with a roadmap for the development and expansion of its two fastest growing airports to accommodate the anticipated increase in demand while incorporating sustainable and environmental best practices.

“L&B is very happy to have been selected to support the USTDA and the Airports Authority of India with this important project that will continue to expand on the great relationship the United States and India share in the aviation industry,” said Mark Perryman, CEO of L&B.

“We look forward to the opportunity to assist AAI in developing their long-term modernisation plans for Kolkata and Lucknow international airports bringing the best in class ideas and technologies to solve complex issues at these vital transportation hubs.”
