Raj Sivakumar is back into Jet Airways’ top management

Mumbai: Jet Airways is bringing back its former chief commercial officer Raj Sivakumar — a key lieutenant who oversaw the airline’s growth and expansion for eight years — into the top management, as India’s no. 2 carrier by market share tries to improve operations and sustain profitability. Three people in the know confirmed the development. A Jet Airways spokesman declined to comment. Sivakumar couldn’t be reached.
Sivakumar is slated to join the airline as its senior vice president for network planning and revenue management.

Jet’s vice president for revenue management Prasad Kholkute quit the airline recently. Abhijit Dasgupta currently steers network planning as vice president. He will report to Sivakumar who is likely to join the airline in a month.

Sivakumar currently heads travel technology and strategy at WNS Global Services, a global business process management company. He first joined Jet in 2007 after more than a decade with United Airlines.
