Civil aviation promotion policy to help investment, tourism

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said the new civil aviation promotion policy of his government will help promote investment and tourism in the state.
Referring to the plan to connect smaller cities by air, he requested the central government to ensure time-bound completion of facilities at the airports.
Reviewing the policy brought by the state government in September, Adityanath said, "The new civil aviation promotion policy of the government will promote investment and facilitate trade in the state... air connectivity will also promote tourism in a big way."
"Priority has been given to not only connect Lucknow with other state capitals but also with divisional headquarters," the chief minister said.
He said the state government is stressing on air connectivity along with road connectivity in order to help regional development and tourism as well as create better employment avenues.
Stressing that his government was continuously working for balanced development, Adityanath said air connectivity with all divisional headquarters is one example of such effort and alleged that the previous dispensation had put in all its resources for development of just a couple of places.
