Pune: Around 125 passengers of a Jet Airways flight to Delhi had a tough time on Friday night at the airport because it was delayed by over four hours for air traffic congestion in the national capital.
The flight (9W 732) was scheduled to take off from Pune at 8.15pm on Friday. But it got delayed. The airline allegedly did not announce the rescheduled time of take-off for a long time, leaving passengers fuming. The flight finally took off at 12.48am on Saturday.
Some of the passengers decided to cancel their tickets for the delay. A few took to the social media to express their frustration.
Pranav Mundi, one of the passengers, tweeted, "Stranded at Pune airport for the past four hours with three kids without any update on the flight."
Neil Brar, another passenger booked on the same flight, wrote, "We are stuck in Pune airport, delayed for over three hours; it's a mess. We are missing connecting flights."
Prateek Dwivedi wrote, "What is wrong with your flight, all your flights are getting delayed... Your staff is not informing us about the exact reason behind the delay... This is completely unacceptable behaviour."
An official from a public relations company representing the Jet Airlines was contacted for the airline's version but the reply was awaited till the filing of the report.
