Tina Datta, the charming girl who plays the role of the daughter-in-law in 'Uttaran', is now 26. Her role within the TV show requires her to play the role of a traditional Indian village beauty who adheres to the older norms of Indian traditionalism. She is, however, quite a glamorous persona when it comes to her off screen life. Tina has been vocal about her experience of sexual harassment on Jet Airways. In an interview she narrated her experience about her flight and said that she has traveled half the world but something like that had never happened to her before. She described how she was seated near her manager and suddenly felt someone touching her inappropriately. She initially thought that it was a child but turned around to see an older man. He backed off and apologized after she screamed.
