Hubballi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has assured that efforts would be made to send a proposal to the Union Civil Aviation Ministry recommending to name Hubballi, Belagavi and Kalaburagi airports after Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, Kittur Rani Chennamma, and Basavanna, respectively.
After receiving memoranda from Corporator Shivanand Muttannavar and others at Hubballi Airport on Saturday, he noted that Basavanna's name would be recommended for Kalaburagi ariport, as Bidar airport belongs to the Air Force.
