Fog forces Air India to cancel flights to Chandigarh

Pune: Air India's Pune-Chandigarh flight would remain cancelled on either way from December 27 to January 15.
"We are cancelling the flight AI 813/AI 814 due to prevailing fog and restriction at Chandigarh airport to operate only up to 1600hrs," a statement from Air India's Pune station manager Suhas Jadhav stated.
The official said the flight would again remain cancelled in February because of complete closure of the Chandigarh airport. "Further, due to the complete airport closure at Chandigarh for maintenance activity between February 12 and February 26, the same flight will remain cancelled," the official said.
He said the passengers booked on the flight for the above period will be given complete refund. "The passengers need not worry. Full refund from the place of issue of tickets — from an agent or the airline — will be provided. If at all they need further assistance, the passengers can call the call centre (18001801407) and all help will be provided," the official said.
