Chennai: Two persons were detained for attempting to smuggle 380gm of gold worth Rs. 11.3 lakh at the Chennai airport, a release said. On Monday, Muthu Nachiyar, who arrived from Singapore, was detained for concealing 2 gold chains weighing 188 gm worth Rs. 5.5 lakh. On Friday, Mohammed Rabeek, who arrived from Kuala Lumpur, was held for concealing 199 gm of gold worth Rs. 5.8 lakh.
