Malappuram: Security at Calicut International Airport, Karipur, was tightened on Friday following an anonymous letter warning about a possible terror strike on Bengaluru International Airport. Officials said that high alert was sounded at the airport by involving the police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and other security agencies after the airport director at Karipur received the letter. Although vigil had been stepped up, the police suspected that the letter posted locally must have been meant to create a scare.
