Dhaka: Two Indian nationals were arrested at the Shahjalal Airport for allegedly carrying 2.6 kg gold bar, here.
The accused have been identified as Iswar Das and Gurjan Singh, who came here from Dubai on Emirates flight EK-586, at around 1945 hrs on Tuesday, a Custoims official said.
''They tried to leave the Green Channel area hastily. On suspicion, we challenged them, but they denied having any gold with them. We later took them to an Uttara clinic, where x-ray report confirmed presence of gold bars inside their rectums," said Assistant Commissioner (Preventive) of Dhaka Custom House, Md Saidul Islam.
