Kozhikode: State Haj Committee chairman Thodiyoor Muhammed Kunju Moulavi has said that the Director General of Civil Aviation and the Union Minister for Minority Affairs had promised that permission would be given to operate Haj flights from Calicut airport. “Now the AAI and the Technical Committee of the Calicut airport should give a No Objection Certificate for the purpose,” he demanded.
Wide-bodied aircraft can be operated after the completion of work on the Runway End Safety Area (RESA) of the airport by June, the Moulavi said.
