Amritsar: For the second consecutive month, footfall of passengers crossed the 2-lakh mark at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in December 2017. A total of 2, 13, 615 passengers visited the airport in the month.
The airport has witnessed an increase of 52.4 per cent in passengers’ footfall as compared to December 2016. A total of 1, 40, 124 passengers had visited the airport in December 2016.
Sameep Singh Gumtala, secretary of overseas affairs, Amritsar Vikas Manch, said, “The data provided by the Airport Authority of India shows that footfall of domestic air passengers has increase from 91,185 to 1, 60, 150 in November 2017 as compared to the corresponding month in 2016. The airport has witnessed an increase of 75.6 per cent in footfall.”
