Nagpur: A bird hit grounded an Air India plane at Nagpur airport on Thursday. The flight coming down from Raipur was supposed to take off for Delhi from here. It had 180 passengers on board who have been flown in a different plane, said a source in Air India management.
The bird hit was reported on the wing, due to which the plane had to be grounded. A ferry flight which comes with the equipment and machinery was requisitioned to repair the plane said the source. An impact was seen at the right flap of the wing, said an airport source.
