Customs seizes party drug at IGI airport

New Delhi: A large haul of suspected party drug Ketamine is understood to have been seized by customs officials at the cargo terminal of the IGI airport, official sources said today.
The consignment, declared as vanilla essence, was to be exported to Kenya, they said.
Sources said preliminary detection has confirmed presence of narcotics in the consignment in a large commercial quantity.
The Commissioner (Export) said, “Preliminary test is positive. But the sample has been sent to Central Revenue Control Laboratory for further confirmation. Anything can be said with certainty only after a report from the laboratory is received.”
