Kozhikode: Gold weighing over one kg and worth about Rs 32.4 lakh has been seized at the International airport in nearby Karipur and one person arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip off,a team of customs officials intercepted a woman who arrived from Muscat by an Air India Express flight yesterday morning, a press release said.
A search revealed that she had concealed four crude gold bangles and two crude gold chains weighing 1,044 grams and valued at Rs 32.34 lakh, under her burkha.
