NRI held in Moga passport scam

Moga: The Moga police on Saturday arrested an NRI woman from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, in the Moga passport scandal.
The 2008 case is pending in a local court.
The woman, identified as Jaswinder Kaur and hailing from Mehal village of Jalandhar district, was detained by the immigration authorities at the airport on her arrival from the US as a lookout certificate had been issued against her by the local police.
The immigration authorities reported the matter to the Moga police. A team of the local police went to New Delhi and arrested her.
Local police officials said that she went to the US after getting her passport made on forged documents. Although she was a native of Mehal village, she submitted forged documents showing her address in Moga city.
