New Delhi: Two passengers were arrested at the IGI airport in two separate cases for allegedly trying to smuggle in pistol and air gun parts. The two incidents happened on March 14 and 15 and customs is trying to probe if they are connected.
A passenger was intercepted after he arrived from Bangkok. A detailed search of his bag found magnifier units, gun attachments and instruction manuals, among other sophisticated gun parts — all of which could be assembled to make a weapon, officials said.
