Vijayawada-Kadapa flight service relaunched

Vijayawada: The flight service between Vijayawada and Kadapa was restarted on Thursday with 42 passengers on board under the Central government’s Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme.

Trujet, which had operated thrice a week services between the two destinations, resumed the service which would now be daily.

Vijayawada Airport director G. Madhusudhan Rao and Trujet manager Kiran Raju handed over the boarding pass to the first passenger.

The flight leaves Hyderabad at 6.45 a.m. and reaches Vijayawada at 7.40 a.m. It will leave at 8.05 a.m. and reach Kadapa at 9.10 a.m. Trujet offers daily services between Hyderabad and Kadapa. In the return journey, the flight will leave Kadapa at 9.30 a.m. and reach Vijayawada at 10.35 am.
The price of the ticket between Vijayawada and Kadapa is between Rs. 800 and Rs. 2,500; and for the Indigo services the ticket price is between Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 2,500 depending on the time of advance booking and date of journey.

IndiGo is going to launch its five daily services to Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai from March 2.

According to airport officials, the airline is offering three non-stop services to Hyderabad and one service each to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The first flight which will arrive here at 7.30 am from Hyderabad will be welcomed with the water salute. The aircraft will leave for Bengaluru at 7.55 am. The Chennai flight will leave at 3 pm and the Hyderabad service at 11.55, 14.40 and 20.50 hours.
