Trichy: Air Intelligence unit of the customs seized gold bars weighing 430g from a passenger, who arrived at the Trichy International Airport from Kuala Lumpur in the early hours of Saturday.
The passenger has been identified as Vasafa Maraikayar of Ramanathapuram district who has been detained and being interrogated.
According to reports, the passenger was travelling from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to Trichy through Air Asia.
