Srinagar: On the eve of Earth Day, Spice Jet Srinagar held a plantation drive at Srinagar International Airport.
“Devdar trees were planted in the vicinity of airport which was inaugurated by Sharad Kumar director airport authority of India and station manager Spicejet Sartaj Ahmed Mantoo,” reads a handout.
The organizers said that their message is to leave the earth green for next generations.
“We make effort to educate, mobilize and activate citizens to contribute in keeping the earth green,” it adds.
It added that this year, Earth Day-2018 theme is 'End Plastic Pollution'. It is dedicated to providing the information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change human attitude and behavior about plastics.
