Srishti Communications Gives Trivandrum International Airport A Facelift

Bangalore based Srishti Communications has bagged the prestigious contract for advertisement at the Trivandrum International Airport. The contract is for ten years for advertising in the entire estate of the airport.

The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is for domestic (except Air India and Jet Airways) and Terminal 2 for international flights and all domestic flights of Air India and Jet Airways. The airport is well connected within India and also with many Middle East destinations such as Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Europe and Americas. In 2017, the airport handled a total of 48,89,991 passengers. And with the upcoming Vizhinjam port, which is only 20 kms away from Trivandrum, it will bring in more footfalls passenger traffic to the airport.

Trivandrum is also the academic hub of Kerala with the presence of top institutions of science and technology like ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), etc., that receives many academicians and students into the city, bringing in more traffic.

The newly built Terminal 2 has three additional jetways and parking bays to accommodate eight aircrafts. The terminal is built opposite to the current terminal across the runway and is closer to the city side. The terminal, constructed by the Airports Authority of India and designed by the UK firm, Pascall+Watson architects, is expected to provide impetus to the development of the IT sector and tourism industry in the southern districts of Kerala.
