Air India renews contract for Khadi amenity kits for premium international flyers

New Delhi: First and business class passengers on Air India flights will continue getting amenity kits with herbal products. The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) on Monday said it has, for the third successive time, received an order of Rs 8 crore from AI for supply of these kits consisting of khadi herbal beauty care products for its international passengers.
KVIC chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena said AI has placed an order for 1.85 lakh amenity kits worth Rs 8 crore with KVIC for getting 1.85 lakh units of amenity kits for its first and business class international passengers to promote the use of the indigenous fabric. “It is a matter of pride and privilege for the KVIC for being able to bag the repeat order for the amenity kits successfully for the third time. The intimation in this connection has been received from AI for extension of the contract for a period of one year from June 12, 2018,” Saxena said.
