Bhilai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that development is the only solution to “counter conspiracies and violence”. He flagged off the first flight from Jagdalpur to Raipur, putting Maoist-hit Bastar on the country’s aviation map.
He also dedicated a state-of-the-art integrated command and control centre at Naya Raipur — the state’s new capital — that will bring supervision of all civic facilities under one roof.
“Earlier, Bastar was known for guns, bombs and violence. Today, it is on the aviation map. The 6-7 hours of road travel to the state capital has been reduced to just 40 minutes,” the PM said.
