In a second such case in three days, a Ranchi-bound IndiGo VT-ITE Neo aircraft (6E 509) today returned midway to New Delhi following an engine snag.
The aircraft with 183 passengers and seven crew members onboard landed safely at the Delhi airport.
According to an IndiGo Airlines press release, "The crew carried out an engine in-flight shut down following the standard industry procedure... The matter is under investigation and has been reported to the regulator."
This comes just two days after another IndiGo flight (6E-972) aborted take-off due to a similar engine snag.
