New software makes AAI building permits easy

Nagpur: Airport Authority of India (AAI) has launched a new software to make issuance of building permits easy. According to RK Singla, general manager (no objection certificate), builders can now apply online for these permits which will be issued within 15 days.
“Our website nocas2.aai.aero/nocas explains whether a permit is needed or not. The maximum permissible height in an area is given in the colour coded zoning map. We have an interactive system too where the coordinates of the plot can be entered. If anybody applies for a NOC even though it is not necessary then our software has an auto-settle feature. It will generate a letter informing the applicant of the same,” said Singla. One can see the names of house owners and builders to whom NOC has been issued on this link.
Of the 125 airports in the country, AAI has integrated its maps with that of local bodies in 11 cities. “We will invite Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) officials for integrating their software with us,” said Vijay Mulekar, senior airport director of Mihan India Limited (MIL).
If the building permit software of NMC and NMRDA is advanced enough then it would be easily integrated with that of AAI.
