Air India coach facility likely, but only after the monsoon

Pune:  Air India is likely to start a coach service at Pune airport, from the security gate to tarmac, but the facility may be in place only after the monsoon. Once the service is introduced, the national carrier will be the fourth airline to start a coach service at the city airport.
“Air India is expected to bring a coach for its passengers at the Pune airport. Though we cannot confirm the time when the service will start, the coach will be brought from Hyderabad,” an airport official said.  Airline sources told TOI that it could take some time before the coach comes to the facility.
“Things are being worked out in this regard. But it takes a couple of months. Once the coach comes in, it will be used to ferry passengers from the security gates to the aircraft parked in the bay, if the aircraft has not been given an aerobridge and the weather is rough,” a source pointed out.
