Mumbai: The baggage check-in systems of both Terminal 1 and 2 of the Mumbai airport were affected causing delays in issuing boarding passes and loading baggage after the Local Area Network (LAN) failed for over an hour due to a reported power supply issue on Tuesday evening.
“Due to an unexpected technical glitch, the network is down. The team is resolving the issue and operations are expected to resume shortly,” a Mumbai International Airport spokesperson said.
It was later announced that the system was restored around 5.50 p.m. Jet Airways, in a message to passengers, said that a network failure at the airport had impacted all airlines and departure delays were up to an hour.
