Before they can reach Goa, three held at Delhi airport

Panchkula: The police on Saturday arrested three Kalka gang war prime accused from the Delhi airport before they could board a flight for Goa.
Relatives of Vikram, 25, who was shot dead in the firing at Paploha in Kalka on June 28, were informed about the arrest of Bhupinder Singh Babbu, Shyam Lal Tagra and Ganesh Kumar. The family members had been threatening to hold protests till the main accused were not caught. Illegal mining and extortion were the reasons behind the killing of Vikram. Family members and villagers alleged Bhupinder had been demanding money from Vikram for selling mud excavated from nearby rivulets illegally. His gang members and friends of Vikram had fought in the past too.
Panchkula deputy commissioner of police (DCP) R K Meena said, “A team of CIA arrested the three main accused. They will be produced before a court on Sunday for their police remand.”
