In another expansion of regional connectivity, an intra-state air service between Sri Ganganagar and Jaipur commenced from Tuesday. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje flagged off the first flight for Sri Ganganagar from Sanganer Airport.
“It is a matter of great pride that today, Rajasthan boasts of the strongest intra-state air connectivity, a result of our commitment to improve air connectivity in the state from the very beginning, providing a boost to the tourism industry and strengthening the economy,” tweeted Raje from her twitter handle. She further said that after Sri Ganganagar more cities in Rajasthan will be connected with intra-state air services in future.
Her Cabinet colleagues social justice minister Arun Chaturvedi, water resource minister Dr Rampratap and BJP state president Madan Lal Saini, Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra, Chief Secretary DB Gupta, Rajasthan finance commission chairperson Jyoti Kiran and ACS (Civil Aviation) Sudarshan Sethi were present during the flagging off ceremony held on Tuesday.
