Delhi Airport becomes first Indian Airport to achieve ISO

New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) GMR led Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has been conferred with ISO 55001:2014 certification for its Asset Management (AMC). DIAL was awarded this coveted certification by British Standards Institution (BSI) for Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) and associated Electrical System at Delhi Airport.
These are vital installations of an airport that ensure safe, continuous and reliable aircraft movements. This makes Delhi’s IGI Airport as the first Airport in India and among the select ones in the World to win this title.
AGL system is a crucial airport function that provides continuous visual guidance to the aircraft for landing, taxiing and taking off. Electrical installation provides the continuous power supply to these AGL Systems and are continuously monitored for their satisfactory function through automated communication system.
