Direct flight service from Delhi to Iceland to start from December 7

Starting December 7, 2018, Wow Air, Iceland's budget transatlantic air carrier, will begin its direct flight service to link Delhi and Reykjavik.
According to news reports, the Ambassador of Iceland to India, Thorir Ibsen, spoke at an event held in Delhi recently. He said that tourism is a major area of focus for Iceland, and the headcount of Indian nationals landing in Iceland is on the rise. So, apparently, the country wants to support the positive development by providing a direct link to Indians to visit Iceland.

"India and Iceland have good diplomatic ties for the last several years. India is not a conventional traditional market for us. But there are several areas like biotech, IT, renewable energy, where we want to go for in India in future," Ibsen noted.

"So, I am happy to share that the direct flight service from Delhi to Iceland will start from December, and the first flight will be on December 7," shared Ibsen.

The direct flight facility will be provided by Wow Air, a budget carrier connecting the US, and European countries.
