Bahrain International Airport (BIA) announced 12 new routes for the regional hub, along with new carriers operating out of Manama.
Gulf Air, the national carrier, added eight new routes, with new direction services to Bangalore (India), Calicut (India), Abha (Saudi Arabia), Tubuk (Saudi Arabia), Alexandria (Egypt), Sharm El Shaikh (Egypt), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Casablanca (Morocco).
Azerbaijan’s flag carrier, Azerbaijan Airlines, also started its new direct service between Baku and Bahrain, operating twice a week between Heydar Aliyev International Airport and BIA.
