Kolkata: The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) officials on Tuesday detained a Nigerian national and seized 12 gram cocaine and 20 LSD blots from her possession as she got down at the NSCBI airport. The woman, who was carrying the cocaine in capsules hidden inside her uterus, is now being questioned to find out her links to an international racket.
Based on a specific input of a cocaine consignment, due to arrive at the NSCBI airport on Monday evening, the NCB officials were on watch. Earlier in January this year they had arrested another Nigerian national who was carrying drugs concealed inside body cavity. “The lead came through the links in the same racket. We were told that the carrier would be carrying at least 80 gm Cocaine,” said the NCB official.
When they detained the woman first, they found she had been staying in India for the past four years. The unusually long stay in the country for trivial reasons further alerted them.
