Surat to get direct flight to Sharjah in winter

Surat: Putting all speculations at rest, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has stated that the international operations from Surat airport will be permitted with effect from winter season i.e October or November.

However, the newly appointed airport director Sanjay Kumar Panigrahi cleared the dust from the ongoing propaganda over Air India Express on Wednesday. Panigrahi tweeted from his official account: “International operations at Surat will be considered and permitted during night between 12.30am to 5am with effect from winter 2018 season.
